THE CURRICULUM

Training will consist of

Primary Styles: Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Yoga Nidra
Methodology: Alignment, modifications, cues, and hands-on adjustments for 90 foundational
asanas, classical and creative sequencing, and practice teaching
Meditation and Pranayama
Philosophy: Sanskrit, Samkhya, Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Tantra
Ayurveda: elemental principles, doshas, energy channels, and anatomical systems. Holistic
lifestyle, nutrition, herbal medicines, treatment therapies, aromatherapy, and self-care
Anatomy: modern science perspective with a focus on the muscular-skeletal system
Subtle Body: prana, shakti, nadis, chakras, bandhas, vayus, and koshas
Sound Healing: Sanskrit, mantra, chanting, and guided relaxation with singing bowls
Specialty: Prenatal yoga, yoga for children, yoga for elderly, and partner yoga

Molly McLaughlin

Meet Molly, your guide to an extraordinary yoga teacher training experience. Molly is the resident yoga teacher and Director of Wellness for Sama Retreats.

With over 15 years of teaching under her belt, Molly is renowned for her inclusive, heart-centered approach to yoga and wellness. Drawing from a wealth of diverse knowledge and training with masters worldwide, she specializes in Hatha, Vinyasa, Tantra, Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra.

As an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner and Therapeutic Massage Therapist, she brings a holistic perspective to her teachings. She emphasizes harmony, balance, alignment, healing, intuition, freedom, grace, and flow.

Karthik Krishna

Enter the world of yoga with Karthik, our beloved yoga master from Mysore, India. Karthik is a lifelong yoga practitioner with a passion for guiding others and sharing knowledge.

Karthik’s journey began in childhood, as he was captivated by the challenging poses. He practiced on his own everyday for hours, and by the age ten he was winning National and International yoga competitions. Karthik’s initial quest for perfection led him to discover the true essence and meaning of yoga, which inspired him to pursue teaching by seventeen.

He has taught countless yoga classes and yoga teacher trainings, both in Mysore and internationally. Renowned for his ability to blend subtlety with intensity, Karthik’s classes offer both therapeutic and advanced practices, welcoming all to experience unity of mind and spirit.
